    Final Project Reflection

So, at the beginning of this project I was not the most enthused about working with WordPress because I just did not think it would allow me to have the freedom with this website that I was wanting. But boy was I wrong. Every problem I came across, I found a plugin that saved the day. Because of that, though, I installed 18 plugins. Each of which I had to go through trial and error to see if they would do what I wanted. Let me walk through the ones I ended up using. Blocks Animation: CSS Animations for Gutenberg Blocks – this is how I got all of the…

    CELEBRATING OUR VOICES!

To the wisdom-filled, God-fearing, day-making people I have the pleasure of being surrounded by: consider this my eternal thank you. Your words are important, your presence is so so valuable, and your stories deserve to be heard. Here’s to celebrating little miracles and impactful words! “What has been on your heart lately/what is one piece of wisdom or advice you have to give?” Always Forgive. You don’t have to forget, but you must forgive. If you are still holding it above that person, you haven’t truly forgiven them. Stop bringing it up and let it go. Once you let it go and give it to God, it will really make you…

    Wise words about COVID-19

“This is a weird time for sure. For most of us, I’m sure it feels like we were snatched out of our daily lives and dropped into some alternate reality where we have to distance ourselves from friends and live at home. I struggled with this change a LOT because not only was I snatched out of my daily life, but it all happened so fast. I’m sure everybody lost something in what seems like the blink of an eye. It hurt. I thought about what I was missing constantly and all of the memories and relationships I was missing out on by being separated from the people I love…

Letting go doesn’t mean losing. Notice how incredible people are for just being themselves. Live your life with an open hand, fully ready for God to give and take away. The most humble thing you can do is love yourself. Life will be full if you spend it chasing after the Father’s heart. Learn to live with contentment in the unknowns. The only thing worth anything is the intimacy granted by the cross. Never underestimate the power of prayer. Do it without ceasing Sometimes the only thing stopping you from freedom is not forgiving yourself for something you’ve already been forgiven for.

  • Life Advice!

    Some Advice on Life!

“Yo! There’s been so much good poured out in the past year. Something that has held so much truth and value to me that’s so simple, and has become my 2020 motto is that it’s not about how it looks- it’s about what’s on the inside. This can be easily forgotten when we judge a book by its cover. So many unexpected friendships can come from being open and not holding ourselves back from loving others the way we’re called to. Love others, look deeper, be unafraid.” In this strange season of life we are finding ourselves in, I have noticed that my emotions come in waves. Some days it’s…

    Black Lives Matter

Perspectives from people of color on the fight for justice in our nation. “I think the biggest thing I wanna say to my fellow young Black men and women is not to feel like they have to take on this fight alone and especially not constantly. A lot of times (outside of the news cycle), Black people are expected to be strong no matter what we face and no matter how hard it is, and these past two weeks are no different. I want to remind y’all that you do not have to carry this weight every minute of every day. It’s important to unplug and recharge for the sake of…
